Savage helped her father get a reverse mortgage in order to tap into the equity in his home over 15 years ago, where he lived until the age of 95. The reverse mortgage offered him valuable peace-of-mind, and allowed him to stay in the home he loved.

Reverse mortgages are commonly used today as a retirement income tool to improve cash-flow and portfolio longevity.
